Rotational Grazing

Rotational Grazing

A little glimpse into why rotational grazing is so beneficial for the land and animals!

The cows are moved every three days but we do not have cross fencing for our sheep. So we make the best use of our infrastructure and move them from one large pasture section to a fresh one every three to four weeks. Picture one is their arrival in their new forage that grew in their absence. Picture two is what they ate down over the last month and will now have a chance to regrow over the next month before the sheep return. It definitely needs the break from animal grazing pressure!
